It is where the community comes together to architect ideas that can move our society forward.
It is where they incubate during the business week or do Yoga and Zumba in the evenings and think tanks or group get-togethers on weekends.
It is where people struggling with setbacks come to find The Recovery Road.
It is also where we worship on Sundays. Hipsters, millenials, boomers, X’ers, Vets, old-timers and the up and comers. Gay, straight, left wing, right wing no wing…no telling you how you should believe, and no trying to convert you into being a better religious person; just honesty, connection, and the space to evolve. No closets, and no BS.
It is a cause-place…a place where you not only find your voice, but you find the courage to say something with it. There are no classes on how to find the non-offensive grey. There are no staff holding your hand or programs you can qualify for. And there is definitely no downer section or pain in the ass department. It is just people living in the truth of themselves, building the life that defines their legacy.
It is receiving from and giving back to; this is why we gather.
IT’S WHERE PEOPLE CONGREGATE;
WHERE THEY TALK ABOUT LIFE, WHERE THEY SHARE THEIR WORLD,
SHARE A MEAL, SHARE LIFE AMBITION AND EVEN SHARE THEIR DIFFERENCES.
TIMES AND LOCATION.
We sing the Doxology Hymms (sorry no laser lights or pounding bass) and we partake of Holy Communion as individuals feel so inclined. We offer Prayers of gratitude and prayers for one another. (no you do not have to hold hands or hug…just our opportunity to not be selfish)
We take time to connect with the reverence of our faith, more than the “cool effect.” We listen to a message about embracing life and improving our world, and we share as we feel, from how we see ourselves.
We receive the offering, because yes…we want your money because we spend no less than 80% of it on bettering the community and the city.
We say The Benediction and then we go out and do our best to be the WOW factor to the world around us.
(and without any notion of judgment or failure.)
